Animals I encountered during my conscription in the Greek Army.

These are animals I encountered during my conscription in the Greek Army. Some were weary of my presence, others expected food. Some were friendly, others indifferent. I was there only briefly, a transient visitor. But for them... this is their home.

I met dogs.

Notice the dog in the back, how it has its snout tucked under its leg. The cold combined with the high humidity were intense.

I met cats.

Super friendly cat. Kept me company during guard shifts.

In Athens, during leave.

Cats performing a black mass.

I met other animals too.

A tale of two mice. A dead one and a hungry one.

There were lots of birds. Unfortunately, they are hard to photograph with a phone.
